A MEETING WITH TUZLA MAYOR CONCERNING TWO MAJOR PROJECTS

On April 22, 2015 HWA met with Tuzla Mayor Jasmin Imamović and discussed two projects that are in the advanced implementation stage; the construction of the first Center for Autism in B&H  and the construction of a social housing building  in Tuzla.
The Center for Autism shall be the first multidisciplinary institution for early diagnosing of Autism and adequate further care, education, health protection and socialization. It is well known that significant steps forward in treating persons with Autism are achieved with early diagnosing. The construction of Center for Autism is co-financed by Tuzla Town and Canton Tuzla.
Since the significant funding for completion of this project is still missing, the joint advocating with the possible donors, Federation and State institutions and Municipalities whose citizens would be the future users of the Center has been agreed.
The construction of a residential building with 16 flats for socially vulnerable categories is in progress. It is a joint project of Tuzla Town and this humanitarian organization. The residential building under construction shall also contain premises for local community office and outpatient clinic.

FIFTEEN NEW HOUSES FOR ROMA FAMILIES IN LUKAVAC

On March 25, 2015, fifteen reconstructed houses were handed over to Roma families in Lukavac Municipality, following their technical acceptance. The ROMA ACTION Project that supports socio-economic inclusion of Roma in BiH through housing, socio-economic measures with proactive participation of local authorities and other stakeholders is financed by the European Union through the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA 2011)
Municipality Lukavac is one of fourteen municipalities in the project that strongly support Roma social inclusion through housing. The municipality has actively participated in the project implementation and provided a co-funding in the amount of 50.000 KM.

ROMA IN ZVORNIK RECEIVE THIRTEEN NEW HOUSES

Following a technical acceptance, HWA simbolically handed the keys of thirteen reconstructed and recovered housing units to Roma citizens of Zvornik municipality. Representatives of EU Delegation in B&H,  Municipality, Project partner ASB and the construction company Zvornikputevi AD also took part in the ceremony.
Municipality Zvornik is one of fourteen municipalities in Roma Action project that strongly support Roma social inclusion through housing. The municipality has actively participated in the project implementation and provided a co-funding in the amount of 80.000 KM.

ELEVEN RECONSTRUCTED HOUSES HANDED OVER TO ROMA FAMILIES IN VUKOSAVLJE

On March 12, 2015, HWA simbolically handed over eleven reconstructed houses to Roma families in Vukosavlje Municipality, following their technical acceptance. The ceremony was also attended by representatives of the project partner ASB, Vukosavlje Municipality, Construction company „Gratod“ from Banjaluka and media.
ROMA ACTION project supports socio-economic inclusion of Roma in BiH through housing, socio-economic measures with proactive participation of local authorities and other stakeholders, is financed by the European Union through the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA 2011) and co financed by local authorities.
Municipality Vukosavlje is one of fourteen project municipalities that strongly support inclusion of Roma though housing. The municipality has provided all needed support and active participation in the project in particular in the selection of beneficiaries’ process of socially vulnerable families who lived in uninhabitable housing units. The municipality is participating in the project with co-financing in the amount of 40.000 KM.

CONSTRUCTION OF THE FIRST CENTER FOR AUTISM IN B&H IN TUZLA

The beginning of construction of the first center for Autism has been officialised on February 24, 2015 in Bukinje Municpality – Tuzla. HWA is leading the construction in this 1.220.000 KM worth investment that is so far co-funded by Tuzla Cantonal Government and the Municipality Tuzla. This Center shall be approximately 750 square meters large and shall accomodate around 50 autistic children. The project envisages the employment of a group of highly qualified professionals. It shall also contain a diagnostic center and its door will be open for autistic children and their parents from the whole country. The Center shall become a home to autistic children after they lose their parents. This project brings our country one step closer to EU integrations while respecting UN Conventions on Human Rights.
